Dr. Pratap Reddy is the founder of the Apollo Hospital Group, India’s first corporate hospital group. He revolutionized the healthcare scenario of India and inspired others to follow suit. Since its inception, Apollo has demonstrated that Indian skills are at par with the best centers in the world and has produced world-class results even in the most complicated Cadaver Transplant. Today, the Apollo Hospitals Group has over 22 centers in major cities in India and a combined turnover of over USD 100 million. Dr. Reddy is now expanding the Apollo Hospitals Group to other parts of Asia. The group is coming up with projects in Sri Lanka, Africa, Bangladesh, and Oman. Dr. Reddy is also looking at secondary health centers in semi-urban and smaller cities in India and has already identified 23 sites for the purpose.

Under the current portfolio, Dr. Velu is Chairman and Managing Director, Trivitron Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Largest Indian Medical Technology Company in the world, Founder and Chairman of Maxivision Eye Care Hospitals- a Medfort Hospitals Initiative, pioneers in Laser Surgery in India and Managing Director of Alliance Medicorp Ltd. & Alliance Dental Care Ltd., largest chain of Dental Clinics & Dialysis Clinics in India and Anchor Investor at Stakeboat Capital, Private Equity Fund. Dr. G.S.K. Velu was also an ex co-promoter of Metropolis Healthcare Limited, a Pan-India chain of pathology and diagnostic centers, which he exited in the year 2015.

Gagan is a business leader with 20 years of management experience in Healthcare expertise spanning Provider, Health Insurance, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Device businesses across the US and Indian markets. He combines a strong strategic perspective with pragmatic on-ground operations experience, and a sharp entrepreneurial instinct to build businesses. He has demonstrated the ability to create scalable new ventures from the ground up, transform and grow existing businesses, and build leadership teams. Gagan is currently the CEO of Apollo Sugar, an innovative and integrated care delivery Provider for Diabetes, and COO of Apollo White Dental, India’s highest quality centres of excellence for dental and maxillofacial care across India.
At Apollo White Dental, Gagan and his team are together building it a highly scalable and efficient network of clinics which provides international level dental care. Their philosophy is to deliver personalized care and treatment plans where the highest quality of patient service and clinical standards are provided in a personalized way for all dental procedures incl braces, implants, full mouth restoration cases and cosmetic dentistry. Before joining the Apollo Hospitals group, Gagan was the Director, Strategy and Healthcare Operations at Max Bupa.
Prior to that, he had a distinguished stint aas Managing Director, Strategy and Corporate Development at Aetna, a Fortune 100 company. Prior to Aetna, Gagan was an Associate Partner with Accenture’s Healthcare Management Consulting practice in New York where he served C-level Healthcare leadership teams in the areas of growth strategy and operations turnarounds across key parts of the Healthcare value chain. In 2014, Gagan was recognized by Economic Times in “India’s Top 40 under 40 Business Leaders” – a list of top CXOs active in corporate India. He has also been recognized by his alma mater IIT Bombay with a “Distinguished Alumni” award.
